Keithley Instruments, Inc. designs, develops, manufactures and markets complex electronic instruments and systems geared to the specialized needs of electronics manufacturers for high-performance production testing, process monitoring, product development and research. The Company has approximately 500 products used to source, measure, connect, control or communicate direct current (DC), radio frequency (RF) or optical signals. Product offerings include integrated systems solutions, along with instruments and personal computer (PC) plug-in boards that can be used as system components or stand-alone solutions. The Company's customers are engineers, technicians and scientists in manufacturing, product development and research functions.

Joseph P. Keithley
Chairman of the Board, President and Chief Executive Officer

Joseph P. Keithley is Chairman of the Board, President and Chief Executive Officer of Keithley Instruments, Inc. in Cleveland, Ohio. Mr. Keithley has served as the company's Chairman since February 1991 and President and CEO since November 1993.

Keithley graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1971, and a Master of Operations Research and Industrial Engineering in 1972. He received a Master's in Business Administration with distinction from the University of Michigan in 1976.

Upon graduation from Cornell, Keithley joined Eaton Corporation where he worked as a manufacturing engineer and later as a market research analyst in the Truck Component Group.

Since joining Keithley Instruments in 1976, Joseph P. Keithley has held various positions in manufacturing, sales, marketing, and division management.

Keithley is a member of the Board of Trustees of Case Western Reserve University and the visiting committee of the Case School of Engineering. He also serves on the advisory council of Cornell University's School of Electrical and Computer Engineering. He is a NorTech board member and vice chairman of the board, chairing the electronics cluster and OhioICE initiative. He is a member of the Ohio Aerospace Council (advocacy and strategy council for NASA Glenn) and is a director of The Cleveland Foundation.

Keithley is a director of Brush Engineered Materials and Nordson Corporation and is an advisor to Early Stage Partners.

 

Philip R. Etsler

Vice President, Human Resources

Philip R. Etsler is Vice President of Human Resources for Keithley Instruments, Inc. Prior to joining Keithley in 1986, Etsler served as Director of Personnel for Harris Corporation, a $2.5 billioncommunications and information handling company in Melbourne, Florida. While at Harris, Etsler also headed human resources for the company's Analog Division and Government Systems Group.

Etsler earned Bachelor's degrees in Economics and English from New York University and a MBA from the State University of New York (Buffalo, New York). His professional career includes working as a recruiter for Chase Manhattan Bank and in management development and training for Xerox.

Etsler is a member of the Society for Human Resource Managers (SHRM) and the Human Resource Planning Society (HRPS).

 

Mark A. Hoersten
Vice President, Business Management

Mark Hoersten is Vice President, Business Management for Keithley Instruments, Inc. Hoersten, who joined Keithley as a Design Engineer in 1980, has held several positions at Keithley, including Engineering Manager, Product Market Manager, Strategic Marketing Manager, Business Manager for the Telecom group, and General Manager.

 Hoersten graduated from the University of Toledo with a BSEE. He earned a MSEE from Cleveland State University and received his MBA from Case Western Reserve University.

Hoersten is a registered professional engineer.

 

Larry L. Pendergrass
Vice President, New Product Development

Larry L. Pendergrass joined Keithley Instruments, Inc. in 2003 as Vice President, New Product Development. Prior to joining Keithley, he had over 20 years experience in research and development, product development, and manufacturing engineering with Agilent Technologies and Hewlett-Packard.

Pendergrass received a B.S. in Physics from San Diego State University and a M.A. in Physics with a focus on Solid State Physics and Optics from the University of California.

 

Mark J. Plush
Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Mark J. Plush is Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Keithley Instruments, Inc. He joined Keithley in 1982 as Corporate Controller, was named a corporate officer in 1989, and was appointedChief Financial Officer in 1998. Prior to joining Keithley, Plush completed an 11-year career with Parker Hannifin Corporation.

Plush earned a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Business Administration from John Carroll University (Cleveland, Ohio) and a MBA from Case Western Reserve University (Cleveland, Ohio). He is also acertified public accountant.

Plush is Treasurer for the Ohio chapter of the March of Dimes with which he has been actively involved since 1993. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the FinancialExecutive Institute, and the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants.

 

Linda C. Rae
Senior Vice President and General Manager

Linda Rae is Senior Vice President and General Manager at Keithley Instruments, Inc. She joined Keithley in 1995 with a position in product marketing and later served as head of Keithley's Component Test Group, as well as the company's Optoelectronics Group.

Rae earned a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Florida. In addition, she holds a MBA from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) and hasa Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University.

Rae is a former member of the Weatherhead School of Management Alumni Association Board of Directors. As part of Keithley work teams, Rae has received two EDI (NorTech) awards and an internal Keithley QSII (Quality-Service-Innovation-Integrity) award for innovation.

 

Gabriel A. Rosica
Executive Vice President

Gabriel A. Rosica is Executive Vice President of Keithley Instruments, Inc. In 1992, Rosica joined Keithley's Board of Directors while serving as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer ofBailey Controls in Cleveland, Ohio. He joined Keithley in 1996 as Senior Vice President.

Rosica earned a Bachelor's of Arts Degree and a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University. He also earned a Master's of Science Degree in Electrical Engineeringfrom Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a MBA from Boston University. In addition to the executive positions he held at Bailey Controls, Rosica also served as President and Chief Executive Officer ofModular Computer Systems, and as Vice President and General Manager of The Foxboro Company's U.S. business operations.

Rosica is a registered professional engineer and a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers.

 

Debra Sibila
Corporate Controller

Debra Sibila is Corporate Controller at Keithley Instruments, Inc. She joined Keithley in 2003 from Goodrich Power Systems where she was Division Controller. Prior to an acquisition by Goodrich, Sibila spent over 20 years with TRW in a variety of accounting and finance positions including Director, Finance.

Sibila earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Myers College, and a MBA from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University. She is also a certified public accountant. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants.
